Defining the standard.

Phonemuzu Standard

Phonemuzu Standard defines a learner-centered pronunciation learning standard integrating acoustics, perception, and instructional engineering. It provides a reproducible framework for developing intelligible English pronunciation beyond imitation-based practice.

Most pronunciation training relies on imitation and opaque scoring. Learners are rarely told what to change or why intelligibility fails. The Phonemuzu Standard exists to make pronunciation learning measurable, perceivable, and instructionally actionable.

  • Acoustic representation of vowels using F1/F2
  • Perceptual transformation based on the Bark scale
  • Cross-modal visualization using perceptually uniform color space
  • Learner-optimized anchoring based on L1 vowel systems
  • Adaptive instructional control using statistical normalization
